TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Paid up members : All competitors must be fully paid up members of the CTSASA, which includes their registered CTSASA club and their provincial CTSA. The on-line competition entry system will not allow an unpaid member to register their entry. Please contact your registered club with any membership queries you may have.
Applicable Rules : Please note that it is the sole responsibility, and duty, of the competitor to be fully conversant with all the relevant rules. All the rulebooks are available on this web site.
Squadding : The Host Club will always endeavour to squad competitors in all the disciplines they have requested. However, due to time and range constraints, this may not always be possible.
Shooting Timetable : At all times, the onus is on the competitor to ensure he/she knows when they are shooting.
Eye & Ear Protection is Mandatory in all disciplines : This is a local South African law which governs all SABS certified shooting ranges.
National Trials : all CTSASA provincial and national championships are National Trials as per the National Trial Position Schedules and Regulations. For more information please click HERE. Please note that members are required to register for National Trials as per the regulations HERE.
Please note that all SA Championships are held over 200 targets. Competitors who shoot 100 targets only are not eligible for prizes/medals.
CHOOSING YOUR DAYS TO SHOOT
Competitors may choose which days they wish to shoot their 200 targets. e.g. Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday or Thursday and Saturday. Competitors may not shoot 200 of the same discipline in one day.
Competitors may also request morning or afternoon (am or pm). The Organising Committee will endeavour to accommodate all requests but due to timetable constraints this may not always be possible.
SA Championships : The first 200 targets shot are for the SA Championships, the 3rd 100 targets are for NATIONAL TRIALS ONLY.
THE COLT CATEGORY
Colts : SA Champs – 100 targets – 50 targets per day – Colt must specify category. Colt must specify category PRIOR to competing. Colts cannot shoot in both the Colt and Junior categories. Age criteria : Under 15 on day 1 of the event. Please note this is different from the Mackintosh Championship rule.
Colts : Mackintosh – 50 targets only. Colts cannot shoot both Colt and Junior. Colt must specify category PRIOR to competing. Age criteria : Under 15 as at 1st January 2017. Please note this is different from the SA Championship rule.
