About Our Association

GOVERNING BODY

The Clay Target Shooting Association of South Africa (CTSASA) is the governing body for the sport of Clay Target Shooting in South Africa. The CTSASA manages twelve Clay Target Shooting disciplines, which includes international disciplines that are shot at continental and world championship levels. This includes the Olympic disciplines of Trap and Skeet. Our sport is for both social and competitive Clay Target Shooters at all skill levels!

ACCREDITED SPORTS SHOOTING ORGANISATION

The CTSASA is registered with the South African Police Service and our FAR/Certificate number is 1300022. We are accredited and approved to provide our members with Dedicated Membership Certificates which support firearms licence applications for both Dedicated Sports Shooting and Dedicated Hunter.

CTSASA Gauteng North Standard Championships 2026

Location: Pretoria

Competition days : Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th January 2025 * All CTSASA Standard Championships are shot over 100 targets * Second 100 targets shot are National Protea Trials only provided the event is included in the current National Trial Period * All championships are National Trials if included in the current National Trial Period * Please note that not all targets shot are for National Protea Trials – please check the National Trial regulations for each discipline.
